Hi!

We are Feffan and Stephanie, but since our friend Freddie started calling us Feffanies for short that´s what friends and loved ones more frequently are calling us. Or at least what we imagine they call us.

• Stephanie is a great baker (and a great cook… but don´t like to admit it…). She likes to follow recipes. She is a dog person. Stephanie don´t like to be late.
• Feffan is a good cook (and a lousy baker… but don´t like to admit it…). He hates to follow recipes. He is a cat person. Feffan thinks being on time is too soon.

• Healthy living is a goal for us both. Either it’s about food, training or just simple pleasures like reading a book or catching the latest Game of Thrones-episode.
• Travel is something we both love. To widen our horizons… Meet new people… Jada, jada, jada… Frankly, it´s mostly just to eat food we would never stumble upon otherwise.
• This blog will therefore mostly be about our love and passion for food, traveling and healthy living.
• As we got engaged just a couple of months ago, it will also be about us trying to plan our dream wedding. And the pursuit to in the end have made it cost nothing at all.
• As the dream is to have our wedding where we want to build our home, it will also be about the hunt for the perfect location. Or maybe the already existing perfect house or great location for that matter.
• The dream house is located in Skåne (Sweden) and it’s located not that far from the sea. Preferably in the mid of the forest. It should be a perfect place for a few cats, dogs, hens and goats.
• The first “thing” that is being bought for the own producing little farm is a divided subject. The one thing that both have in common on the subject is that it will be an (well, two… they can bring an friend…) animal. According to Feffan it´s a couple of cats. Preferably already the day before they move in. Stephs first choice is two goats, so she never again have to go a day without goat ice cream.
• The house and closest surroundings will in the long run be located inside a green house, so we can grow our own food all year around.
• All of course changes those days where the dream instead is to go to New York and start a Swedish café or move to france to start a bakery on the countryside. Then everything else is off!
• Both Stephanie and Feffan love to invite people over for dinner (…and in Stephanie’s case an occasionally “just desserts buffet”). So when they first move in together naturally the biggest room in their apartment was decided to be dedicated for the love of food, we imagined a huge dinner setting with lots of chairs so we could host a lot of people at the same time…
• The first thing we actually bought together was naturally a huge antique wooden dinner table with twelve seating’s from the 19^th century at an auction. It was just about 6 minutes left before the auction went out when Stephanie first spotted the old table setting and fell in love, she got all excited and showed it to Feffan as fast as she could and over a split second we decided that’s going to be our future dinner table so that we will be able to throw huge dinner parties for friends and loved ones, and also a great way to invite new people into our life – through sharing a heavenly cooked meal together.

Vi är Feffan och Stephanie, men sedan vår vän Freddie förenklade sitt liv genom att börja kalla oss under samlingsnamnet Feffanies är det vad vi allt som oftast kallas av vänner och släkt (i vissa fall är ju folk både vänner och släkt kan tilläggas). Eller i alla fall det vi tror de kallar oss.

• Stephanie är en grym bagare (samt en grym kock, men det vill hon egentligen inte erkänna…). Hon älskar att följa recept. Hon är en hundperson. Stephanie hatar att vara sen.
• Feffan är en grym kock (samt en dålig bagare, men det vill han egentligen inte erkänna…). Han hatar att följa recepet. Han är en kattmänniska. Feffan tycker att vara i tid är att vara för tidig.
• Ett hälosamt leverne är ett gemensamt mål. Då i en kombination av mat, träning eller att bara slappna av med en bok eller ett avsnitt av Game of Thrones (inte för man slappnar av till ett sådant avsnitt…).
• Båda älskar att resa. Bredda sin vyer… möta nya människor… bla, bla, bla… egentligen så är det bara för att vi ska få testa ny mat som vi annars aldrig stött på.
• Bloggen kommer därför mestadels fyllas med massor med nördiga inlägg om mat, resande och hälsosamt leverne.
• Eftersom vi förlovade oss för ett par månader sedan kommer den också handla om vägen till vårat drömbröllop. Å jakten på att i slutänden visa att man kan ha ett bröllop för 150 personer som inte kostade så gott som några pengar alls.
• Drömmen är att ha bröllopet där vi sedan tänker bygga vårat hem, så det kommer också handla om jakten på det enligt oss perfekta läget. Eller redan existerande huset på en tokfin plats då.
• Drömhuset är lokaliserat i Skåne, inte långt från havet. Helst mitt inne i skogen. Det ska vara ett läge som gör att man kan ha ett par katter, hundar, hönor och getter.
• Vad som blir första inköpet till gården delar paret. Båda är överens om att det kommer bli ett djur (nåväl, två… de måste få en vän med sig…) som blir första köpet. Enligt Feffan är det uppenbart att det kommer bli ett par katter. Troligen dagen innan de flyttar in i sitt nya hus. Enligt Stephanie kommer det bli ett par getter, så hon aldrig igen behöver gå en dag utan getglass.
• Huset och delar av trädgården kommer så småningom slutas in i ett stort växthus, så att det kan odlas året runt.
• Allt ovan nämnt kan givetvis vissa dagar bytas ut till någon av livsdrömmarna om att driva ett svenskt café i New York, eller ett bageri på franska landsbygden. Då är allt ovan satt på halt!
• Båda älskar att ha stora middagsbjudningar hemma hos sig (å för Stephanie, storfikor…). Så det kom sig naturligt att det största rummet i deras lägenhet gemensamt direkt vid ihopflyttningen beslutades bli ett enbart matsalsrum.
• Första gemensamma köpet blev därmed att på auktion buda in ett gigantiskt handgjort träbord med tolv fina stolar, allt från 1800-talet. Det var ungefär sex minuter kvar av auktionen när Stephanie upptäckte bordet och direkt blev kär och med datorn i hand så fort hon kunde skuttade över till Feffan. På någon sekund bestämdes det att det bordet skulle få vara med om otaliga middagsbjudningar med vänner och släkt hos Feffanies. Månne också en framtida nyckel till att träffa nya vänner på det bästa av sättet. Genom att samtala över en måltid.
